1. Q: When will the tickets go on sale?
A:
For Make-Up Artist Pro-Card holders: March 6, 2014
    For General-Admission tickets: March 13, 2014

 


2. Q: What are the show hours?
    A: Saturday (General admission) 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday (General admission) 10 a.m. to 5p.m.

 


3. Q: Is IMATS open to the public?
    A: Yes, the Saturday and Sunday hours are open to the public. IMATS Pro-Card Events are only open to Make-Up Artist magazine Pro Card holders, and the date and times vary by city.

 


4. Q: Do you offer group sales?
    A: Group sales are no longer available. If you are with a make-up school, students can apply for the Make-Up Artist Edu Card which allows discounts on tickets as well as access to the Pro-Card Events in select cities.

5. Q: May I purchase tickets at the door?
    A: Yes, tickets are available at the door unless they sell out prior to event. Door ticket prices are:
    1 day ticket    $45 CAD (HST included) >updated 2/6/14
    2 day ticket    $75 CAD (HST included) >updated 2/6/14

6. Q: What are the presale ticket prices?
    A: Prices until June 10,  2014 (5 p.m. PDT)
    Regular tickets: 1 day/ $30 CAD
                            2 day/ $50 CAD

    Prices from June 11 to Aug. 8, 2014 (5 p.m. EDT)
    Regular tickets: 1 day/ $35 CAD
                            2 day/ $60 CAD

7. Q: Why does the tickets link take me to a different website?
    A: As of Jan. 28, 2014 we are working with the ticketing company ShowClix to sell our tickets, and you will be directed to their website.

 


8. Q: How do I change the name on my ticket(s)?
    A: If you need to change the name on your tickets for any reason (gifts, exchanges, etc.), please visit the ShowClix My Tickets page and follow the steps to edit and reprint your tickets.

9. Q: What if my name is not on the ticket(s)?
    A: If the ticket is not in your name you need to have the ticket purchaser change the name on your ticket(s), please visit the ShowClix My Tickets page and follow the steps to edit and reprint your tickets. Please keep in mind that any individual will be granted access to the event under another individual’s ticket reservation (i.e. you will be allowed in even if the ticket says your friend's name). However, IMATS reserves the right to ask for identification in relation to the tickets, if there is a discrepancy with the tickets (i.e. any fraudulent activity) or if the tickets are set to be picked up at Registration. Photo I.D. will be required.

 


10. Q: How may I change my ticket to a different day?
    A: Tickets can be swapped to a different day if they are not already sold out. If tickets are sold out no changes can be made. To swap tickets, please call IMATS at 360-882-3488, ext. 101 or ShowClix at 1-888-71-TICKETS.

 


11. Q: Do you offer child tickets?
      A: No. As of Sept. 5, 2012, we no longer offer child tickets to IMATS events. Children ages 6 and under are free. Anyone ages 7 and older must purchase a general admission ticket, and all children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. For safety reasons, no strollers are allowed at IMATS.

 


12. Q: I haven’t received my tickets. What do I do?
      A:  Please click here to login to your account to view and print your ticket confirmation. For detailed instructions, please visit the ShowClix page.

You are required to bring your e-ticket to check in at the show's Registration desk.

 


13. Q: May I pick up my wristband for Saturday and/or Sunday on Friday?
      A: No, at this time early check-in is not available. You must check-in the same day as your ticket. Example: You bought a One-Day ticket for Saturday, so you must check in Saturday.

 


14. Q: How do the e-tickets work?
      A: It’s easy! Select your ticket(s) and purchase online. A link to your QR-coded e-ticket will then be emailed to you. Print your e-ticket confirmation and bring it to the Registration desk at the show. Your confirmation will be scanned into our software, and you’ll be given a wristband that allows access to the show.

 


15. Q: Is there parking onsite?
      A: The Vancouver Convention Centre has ample, on-site paid parking, as well as nearby parking. Visit the Travel page for more details.

 


16. Q: I can’t go to the show, may I get a refund?
      A:  Tickets are NONREFUNDABLE as stated on our website. No exceptions.

 


17. Q: What type of bank or credit cards do you accept to purchase tickets and Make-Up Artist magazine items at the show?
      A: We can only accept cards with Visa, MasterCard or Discover logos.

 


18. Q: What type of payments do vendors accept?
      A: It depends on the vendor. Most accept cash or credit cards. You should contact the individual vendor to find out for sure.

 


19. Q: I am a make-up IATSE union member. How do I get into the show?
      A:
Union members receive complimentary tickets to all IMATS. To receive this benefit you must have a Make-up Artist Gold Pro card. All I.A.T.S.E. make-up artists are eligible for the card. To apply, artists simply fill out a short online form and submit it with images of their union cards and photo IDs. This card will immediately identify IA make-up artists as people we hold in high regard. It will provide cardholders with special services and perks. After you have been assigned a Pro Card, you must register for tickets by going to the IMATS Vancouver tickets page, entering your Pro-Card information and selecting the event tickets you would like.

 


20. Q: How can I get a Make-Up Artist Pro Card?
      A:

21. Q: Do you provide a certificate of attendance for IMATS?
      A:
No we do not offer certification at this time.

 


22. Q: May I bring a pet to the show?
      A:
No pets are allowed at IMATS. Only service animals are permitted into the event.

 


23. Q: What is the address of the Vancouver Convention Centre?
      A: 1055 Canada Place, Vancouver, British Columbia

 


24. Q: How many tickets may I get with my Make-Up Artist Pro Card?
      A: Please login to the IMATS Vancouver tickets page, using your Pro-Card number, to find out your ticket allotment.
