Pro products in different media, Nicole Thompson demonstrates different techniques to create various finishes and reinvent face and body shapes. She also shares some of her favorite reference materials, inspirations and tricks to get your creativity flowing!

Make-up to Die For—Part 1

Bobbie Weiner, aka Bloody Mary, shares the techniques and tricks of the trade she has honed while working in the film and television industry. Her demonstration includes a toxic/decayed clown, a rotted zombie and a dead, frozen slashed victim. Weiner will answer questions and take requests for technique demonstrations. She will also debut her new Death Cut Makeup and Living Statue kits.

Prosthetic Application

Gino Acevedo will transform actor Jed Brophy (District 9, King Kong, Lord of the Rings trilogy) live on stage in a two hour presentation.

Through the Looking Glass presented by Sydney Academy of Hair, Beauty & Make-up; Northern Sydney Institute, featuring DEBBIE MULLER, MICHELLE MORETON, PENNY CLEMENTS, ALEXANDRA SCOTT, SALLY ANDREWS, DANIELLE TEDESCO and NACHO POP (choreographer)

This presentation on conceptual design focuses on make-up and hair done in conjunction with choreography, costumes and wig design. The academy’s creative team will demonstrate make-up and hair techniques that the academy’s courses cover. The presentation will feature specialized make-up and hairstyling for theater, television, film and fashion. Nacho Pop, from So You Think You Can Dance, choreographs the show.

Student Competition Beauty/Fantasy Award Show

Models will present the final make-up creations of make-up students, who are competing for cash and prizes. The theme for this year is Alice in Wonderland, inspired by director Tim Burton's re- imagining of the classic story.

Join Emmy Award-winning make-up artist Brian Sipe as he discusses and demonstrates this amazing product.

The Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga, the Pussycat Dolls, Cyndi Lauper, the Vines and Kings of Leon are just some of her many rock ’n’ roll clients (you may also have seen her work in Rolling Stone, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Oyster).
