Rick Baker Coming to IMATS Los Angeles 2012

IMATS producer Make-Up Artist magazine, a division of Key Publishing Group, announced Jan. 25 that seven-time Oscar-winning artist Rick Baker will be a keynote speaker at IMATS Los Angeles 2012. Details coming soon to the Schedule and Speaker Bios pages.

Baker last won the Achievement in Makeup Oscar last year, along with Dave Elsey, for The Wolfman. He also won Oscars for How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2001), Men in Black (1998), The Nutty Professor (1997), Ed Wood (1995), Harry and the Hendersons (1988) and An American Werewolf in London (1982). Baker was the first recipient of the Achievement in Makeup Oscar.

Fashion Artist Kabuki to Headline IMATS New York and L.A. 2012

In an exciting development, Key Publishing Group announced today that famed make-up artist Kabuki will headline IMATS New York and Los Angeles 2012.

Known for editorial (Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle), celebrity (Madonna, Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson), TV and film (Sex and the City, Party Monster) and runway make-up (Zac Posen, Diesel, Jason Wu, Miss Sixty), Kabuki is one of the most exciting talents working today.
