Body Painting and Special Make-up Effects with Yolanda Bartram
Award-winning body painter Yolanda Bartram will teach an action-packed, hands-on workshop focusing on the fusion of body painting and special make-up effects. During this four-hour class, attendees will learn:
• General body painting do’s and don’ts
• Product knowledge regarding cosmetics and tools for body painting
• How to find inspiration when designing and preparing concepts
• How to use the lines of the body to enhance designs
• Blending and brush techniques
• 3-D painting techniques, shadows and highlights
• How to integrate prosthetics into designs
• Proper prosthetics applications for body art
Bartram will also demonstrate how to use alternative materials and textures in your designs.
**This is a hands-on workshop. Students are responsible for providing their own kits and models.
Master class will be held Friday, June 24, 2011, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Pasadena Convention Center. Class size is limited to 20 students maximum.
Bartram is presented by Make-Up Artist magazine.

Beauty Master Class with Napoleon Perdis
Napoleon Perdis, make-up visionary and Elle Genius, leads a power session on beauty, fashion and runway make-up for artists wanting to take their portfolios and businesses to new heights. Students will learn three techniques crucial for successful runway and editorial make-up using Perdis’ Lingerie, Dress and Style philosophy. They will learn to convert a designer’s creative brief into trendsetting looks, create those highly desired no-make-up looks, tell an evolving make-up story and take their looks to the next level.
Students will receive gift bags featuring a DVD and Napoleon Perdis brush set. Students also will learn using products from Napoleon Perdis Cosmetics and NP Set. Along with a full make-up kit, students are required to bring latex eyelash adhesive, hand towels, hand sanitizer, an assortment of eyelashes, eye drops and a cape or towel to protect the model’s clothing. Students must provide their own models.
**This is a hands-on workshop. Students are responsible for providing their own kits and models.
