Q: What are the show hours?
A: Saturday (General admission) 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday (General admission) 10 a.m. to 5p.m.

 


Q: Is IMATS open to the public?
A: Yes, the Saturday and Sunday hours are open to the public. IMATS Pro-Card Events are only open to Make-Up Artist magazine Pro Card holders, and the date and times vary by city. We reserve the right to refuse service.

 


Q: Do you offer group sales?
A: Yes, we do offer group discounts of 10% off for groups of 15 or more people. All group sales must be placed and paid in one order. Please contact us for more information: tickets@makeupmag.com.

Q: May I purchase tickets at the door?
A: Yes, tickets are available at the door unless they sell out prior to event. Door ticket prices are (subject to change):
    1 day ticket    $50 AUD +GST
    2 day ticket    $80 AUD +GST
    NOTE: Tax not included in ticket prices.

 


Q: What are presale ticket prices?
A: Prices subject to change. Prices until Aug. 22, 2013 (5 p.m. PDT)
    Regular tickets: 1 day/ $35 AUD
                            2 day/ $55 AUD

    Prices from Aug. 23 to Sept. 19, 2013 (5 p.m. AEST)
    Regular tickets: 1 day/ $45 AUD
                            2 day/ $65 AUD
    NOTE: Your bank may charge conversion fees.

  


Q: Do you offer child tickets?
A: No. As of Sept. 5, 2012, we no longer offer child tickets to IMATS events. Children ages 6 and under are free. Anyone ages 7 and older must purchase a general admission ticket, and all children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. For safety reasons, no strollers are allowed at IMATS.

 


Q: How may I purchase Exhibit Floor Only tickets?
A: As of 2012 we no longer offer Exhibit Floor Only tickets.

 


Q: I haven’t received my e-ticket(s). What do I do?
A:  Please login to your www.makeupmag.com account to view and print your ticket confirmation. Please bring your e-ticket or order confirmation along with picture ID to check in at the show at the Online Pre-Sale Ticket desk.

 


Q: Where do I pick up my tickets?
A: You will pick up your tickets at the show. There will be an Online Pre-Sale Ticket desk at the main entrance to the show on Sept. 29-30. Please be sure to bring a copy of your receipt.

 


Q: How do the e-tickets work?
A: It’s easy! Select your ticket(s) and purchase online. A link to your bar-coded e-ticket will then be e-mailed to you. Print your e-ticket confirmation and bring it to the Online Pre-Sale desk at the show. Your confirmation will be scanned into our new software and you’ll be given a wristband that allows access to the show. This process should greatly reduce the time it takes to process our attendees.

 


Q: Is there parking onsite?
A: Yes. Visit the Travel page for details.

 


Q: How do I change my ticket to a different day?
A:  Tickets can no longer be changed to a different day. If you cannot attend the day of your ticket, you may transfer it to another person. Please see "Q: I can’t go to the show, may I give my ticket to a friend?"

 


Q: How do I upgrade my ticket from a one-day to a two-day?
A: You may upgrade your ticket at the show's box office by paying $30 (the difference between a one-day and a two-day ticket) if the show is not sold out. Make sure to bring your one-day e-ticket confirmation or box-office receipt.

Prior to the Thursday before the show, you may upgrade tickets (if the show is not sold out) by calling the Registration Manager at 360-882-3488, ext. 101.

 


Q: I can’t go to the show, may I get a refund?
A:  Tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE as stated on our website. No exceptions.

 


Q: I can’t go to the show, may I give my ticket to a friend?
A:  Yes, you may give your ticket to a friend. Yes, you may give your ticket to a friend. Just give the person the original e-ticket along with a note of transfer, and they should bring that to the Online Pre-Sale Ticket desk to check in at the show

The two-day tickets, however, can not be split. You can not give your ticket to someone after you have already used it.

Please note: Make-Up Artist magazine and IMATS can not be held liable for tickets purchased through a third party.

 


Q: What type of bank or credit cards do you accept to purchase tickets and Make-Up Artist magazine items at the show?
A: We can only accept cards with Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover logos.

 


Q: I am a make-up IATSE union member. How do I get into the show?
A: Union members receive complimentary tickets to all IMATS. To receive this benefit you must have a Make-up Artist Gold Pro card. All I.A.T.S.E. make-up artists are eligible for the card. To apply, artists simply fill out a short online form and submit it with images of their union cards and photo IDs. This card will immediately identify IA make-up artists as people we hold in high regard. It will provide cardholders with special services and perks. To apply please click here.

 


Q: What is the Make-Up Artist Pro Card application deadline for IMATS Sydney 2013?
A: In order to get approved in time for IMATS Sydney 2013, your application needs to be submitted by Sept. 2 at 5 p.m. PDT.

 


Q: How do I upgrade my Make-Up Artist Pro Card?
A: The Gold Pro Card is exclusively for make-up artists affiliated with a trade union or make-up effects shops, who are represented by an agency or who work in theater. Email your request for an upgrade to pro@makeupmag.com.

Q: What is the Platinum Pro Card?
A:
This is our highest-level, invitation-only card. It's awarded to select individuals for their leadership and their contributions to the industry. Applications are not accepted for this card.

 


Q: Do you provide a certificate of attendance for IMATS?
A: No we do not offer certification at this time.  

 


Q: May I bring a pet to the show?
A:
No pets are allowed at IMATS. Only service animals are permitted into the event.

 


Q: What is the address of the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre?
A: The Convention Centre is located on Darling Drive near Darling Harbour in Sydney, Australia.
